Advice for Speakers

Please prepare your presentation as a PowerPoint for Windows® file. In order stay up-to-date with the Conference schedule, check the Corrigenda distributed with the hardcopy of the program, and also take a look at the "Program Changes Board" in the foyer of the lecture hall to find out if there are any changes to the program that might relate to your presentation. Make sure to bring your presentation to the media room at least 30 minutes before your session starts. Files for early morning presentations should ideally be handed in the day before. Please make sure to arrive at your presentation room prior to the start of the session and to introduce yourself to the chair.

Please keep strictly to the scheduled presentation time, which includes the time for discussion (3 minutes for a time slot of 15 minutes and 5 minutes for time slots of 20 minutes or longer). The session chairs are advised to start the sessions in time and to end the lectures on schedule to avoid overrun. A countdown timer will be automatically integrated in your presentation displaying the speaking time left.

Advice for Scientific Poster Presenters

Posters should be prepared in English. Their format should not exceed DIN A0 (84.1 cm width x 118.9 cm height; portrait format), and the posters should NOT be laminated. Mounting materials will be provided. Your poster should remain on the assigned poster board during the whole conference. Additionally, there will be a special poster session (Tuesday, 30 October 2018) during which one of the authors should be present at the poster to interact with conference attendees. Poster presenters are encouraged to distribute one-page handouts.
