By airplane
The nearest airport is Franz-Josef-Strauss Airport in Munich (MUC). To get to the center of Munich, you can either use the Lufthansa Airport Shuttle Bus (operating from 06:20 to 21:40 hrs every 20 min; the fare is approx. 10.00 € for a single ticket) or the suburban train („S-Bahn“) S8 (approx. 10 EUR for a single ticket) to the main station. You will also find car rental agencies or taxis at the airport (a one-way taxi fare is approx. 45 €).
To directly reach the conference venue, use suburban train („S-Bahn“) S1 and change to underground train („U-Bahn“) U2 at Feldmoching. Get off at stop Harthof. From there you can take either bus line 170 bound for Kieferngarten/Heidemannstraße, or bus line 141 bound for Münchner Freiheit; get off at Rose-Pichler-Weg, which is right next to the main gate.
Shuttle bus service
There will be a free shuttle service between Harthof underground station („U-Bahn“) U2 and the conference venue. For arrivals on 22 October, the service will be offered from 15:00 to 18:30 hrs; For departures on 24 October, the service will be provided from 15:00 hrs to 18:00 hrs, and on 25 October from 08:00 hrs to 14:00 hrs.
By train
From the main station, take underground train („U-Bahn“) U2 to Feldmoching and get off at stop Harthof. There, take bus line 141 bound for Münchner Freiheit or bus line 170 bound for Kieferngarten/Heidemannstraße. Get off at Rose-Pichler-Weg and you will find yourself right next to the main gate.
Shuttle bus service

For arrivals on 22 October, the service will be offered from 15:00 to 18:30 hrs; For departures on 24 October, the service will be provided from 15:00 hrs to 18:00 hrs, and on 25 October from 08:00 hrs to 14:00 hrs.
By car
Highway („Autobahn“/“AB“) A8 Stuttgart-Munich:
At Eschenried intersection, change to highway A99 to Salzburg. Take the exit Neuherberg, then drive in the direction of Munich. After passing the city boundaries, turn right into Neuherbergstrasse at the first traffic lights; after 400m you will find the main gate on the left-hand side.
Highway („Autobahn“/“AB“) A9 Nuremberg-Munich:
At Neufahrn intersection, change to highway A92 to Stuttgart; then at Feldmoching junction, change to highway A99 to Salzburg. Take the exit Neuherberg, then drive in the direction of Munich. After passing the city boundaries, turn right into Neuherbergstrasse at the first traffic lights; after 400m you will find the main gate on the left-hand side.
Highway („Autobahn“/“AB“) A8 Salzburg-Munich:
At the intersection München Brunnthal, change to highway A99 to Nuremberg/Stuttgart, then stay on the A99. Take the exit Neuherberg, then drive in the direction of Munich. After passing the city boundaries, turn right into Neuherbergstrasse at the first traffic lights; after 400m you will find the main gate on the left-hand side.
If you arrive by car, please note that there are parking restrictions on the barracks‘ premises and do not park on reserved parking spaces.
